What a way to kick off with some positivity this week!
Last weekend I took part of an amazing charity event hosted by Mustang car club Pony6G at Goodyear Autocare Watergardens in Taylor Lakes, Victoria.
100% of the donations raised went to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation. Our goal was to raise $1,360 and proud to say we smashed our goal more than double by raising $3,240.
The event ran smoothly, as everyone has come accustomed to QR codes - made the digital experience a breeze. Ticket, donations and check-in system was created using Eventbrite. We also created Facebook profile frames to encourage support. We also had prizes donated from local businesses.
The team at Peter Mac were super helpful and lovey to deal with – I even got a call before the event to wish us luck! 🥰
It was great opportunity to share my story about my diagnose of Hodgkin Lymphoma and to also connect with others who have been affected by cancer.
It was a rewarding event not just for me but for everyone there who just wanted to give something back.
Peter Mac is Australia’s only public hospital that’s 100% dedicated to cancer treatment. It’s also the home to Australia’s largest cancer research group. Donations help Peter Mac’s dedicated researchers make new breakthroughs and discover cancer cures.
